The BNIX has three different locations: INTERXION, LEVEL(3) and BELNET
Interxion, with headquarters in Amsterdam, designs and operates carrier-neutral Internet exchange centers (IEC's) across Europe. All of Interxion's Internet exchange centers are connected to the networks of major national and international telecom carriers as well as to various European Internet exchanges.
Interxion's IECs are at the heart of all Internet activities. In the state-of-the-art IEC's, Interxion offers integrated solutions for equipment housing, connectivity, storage and maintenance needs of Internet-related companies including ISP's, ASP's, e-commerce companies, content providers, media companies and web hosting companies.
Interxion currently operates IEC's in Amsterdam, Brussels, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Copenhagen, London, Madrid, Paris, Stockholm, Vienna and Zurich and is housing 4 of the largest European Internet exchanges in London, Paris, Frankfurt and Vienna.
Operational since September 2000, Interxion Belgium's IEC is connected to several telecom carriers. The IEC spreads Across 8.000 square meters and provides equipment housing solutions and 24x7 technical support services.

BELNET is the original location near the Brussels city center, on the same premises as the BELNET Network Operations Center.
BELNET manages the location BELNET, which has the following characteristics:
- standard 19" rack space to install the routing hardware of the ISP
- dual power supplies for the routing hardware, UPS protected (one hour)
- power feed from a diesel generating set in case of main failure (which provides an autonomy of 10 hours initially, no limit with timely fuel refills)
- secured room (intrusion, fire)
- air conditioning
- out of band connectivity (optional PSTN)
- free access during office hours
- free basic remote hands service during office hours (e.g. powercycling)
- 24x7 room access (optional)
- 24x7 watch service, 24x7 hardware maintenance on the BNIX switch
- RJ45 Category 5 or SX optical SC/PC cable to connect the router to the shared medium
- fiber presence of many telecom operators
