In order to respond better to changing market conditions such as increasing data flows or temporary peaks in Internet traffic, the BNIX team has worked hard on a new, more flexible pricing structure that will take effect on 1 January 2022.

The biggest change is the introduction of partial bandwidth rates for 10G and 100G ports. As of 1 January 2022, BNIX participants can opt not to put the entire capacity of the above ports into use at once, but only the proportion that they actually need at that time. They will pay a lower price for this than for a full port and can easily request an upgrade of the bandwidth on their current port when their data usage increases. We will charge €500 for these upgrades or downgrades of capacity on an existing port. To encourage the use of 10G ports, we have deliberately chosen to set the price for 2Gbit/s bandwidth on a 10G port equal to the price of a 1G port, namely €220 per month.

We have also lowered the price for one 100G port on the BNIX network and are also offering a degressive price when purchasing two or more 1G, 10G and 100G ports.

Another change is that, from 1 January 2022, we will be offering all BNIX participants the opportunity to set up private VLANs on existing ports in addition to public peering connections. We will charge a setup fee of €200 per endpoint for this.

And finally, there are some special prices for reseller ports. These are additional ports for reselling BNIX services to one or more remote participants. These reseller ports are only offered for the full bandwidth, but are charged at 70% of the normal port price, with a further setup fee of €500 per remote participant, except for the first remote participant which is free of charge.
