A programme full of insights and inspiration

The evening opened with a welcome speech by Dirk Haex, General Director of Belnet (AS2611), who officially welcomed the participants.
Frédéric Libotte, BNIX Senior Relationship Manager and Vice-Chair of Euro-IX, then guided participants through a varied presentation. He began by revisiting the history of Hotel Indigo Brussels City and the heritage of the venue. He then looked at the impact of the 2026 FIFA World Cup on Internet traffic, shared an update on BNIX's activities in 2026 — including new participants and key traffic statistics — and highlighted BNIX's presence on social media.
The programme also featured a presentation by Olivier Dzwoniarkiewicz, Core Infrastructure Manager at Citymesh (AS199095) and edpnet Belgium (AS9031). His contribution offered participants valuable insights into the sector and the role of connectivity.

Congratulations to our quiz winner!

As in previous years, the BNIX Networking Event included a quiz to test participants' knowledge.
Congratulations to Steven Bens from Unix-Solutions (AS39923), who was the fastest participant to answer all the questions correctly and win the quiz!

Thank you for making it a success!

A big thank you to all our participants, customers, partners and colleagues for joining us and contributing to the success of this 15th edition.
Special thanks go to our speakers, Dirk Haex and Olivier Dzwoniarkiewicz, for sharing their knowledge and insights, and to Frédéric Libotte for hosting the evening and guiding participants through the programme.
The BNIX Secret Garden may have closed its doors, but the conversations and connections made during the evening will continue to grow.
